The idea of helping international companies buy from China has been growing with me since the 1990s. After years of studying abroad, I experienced firsthand the cultural and business differences between China and the West. That sparked my passion for bridging these two worlds.
My first job was at a Sino-Singapore consulting firm, introducing foreign businesses to the China market through market research, partner search, factory audits, and joint venture setup. Seeing successful partnerships grow and receiving heartfelt thanks from both sides confirmed I was on the right path.
In the early 2000s, I began working independently to help overseas buyers manage production in China, especially when quality issues and communication gaps emerged. By 2014, I founded Viotech to provide end-to-end sourcing support — from supplier search and factory visits to quality inspection, shipment consolidation, and logistics coordination.
Over the years, we’ve helped source everything from thumb-sized plastic caps to industrial boilers shipped in 12 containers. We've dealt with low supplier priority, high MOQs, and production delays — but also celebrated 15+ year partnerships, supplier visits full of smiles, and even friendly ping-pong matches with factory owners.
What keeps us going is simple: we love what we do. We create value by solving problems, aligning expectations, and making cross-border sourcing smoother, more efficient, and more trustworthy. Every supplier is different, and every project is a new story — that’s what makes it fun.
